JaMelle R. Hill is an Inspirational and Developmental Leader, a Mother, and an American fighting to make America great for all of us, not just a wealthy few!
JaMelle was born in Macon, Georgia into a family that understands the value of working hard in order to achieve one’s personal goals.
From an early age, JaMelle grew up with a deep understanding of income inequality. She was nurtured in a two bedroom family home with her mother, grandmother, and uncles, whom all valued education and were college graduates, working full time jobs. Even as young girl she questioned her view of the American Dream and why they were not afforded the same basic civil liberties in life as others. In an effort to expose JaMelle to different cultures, she attended Sacred Heart Catholic School for elementary and middle school, and Mount de Sales for High School. Having to commute for school was the first lesson: be willing to go the extra mile for your education.
While at Howard University, she obtained a Bachelors of Science in Biology, expanded her knowledge of cultures, practiced diplomacy and learned about our nation’s true history and that of her ancestors. It was after graduating from Mercer University with a Master’s in Public Health that she was able to see the puzzle come together. Many issues that plague American’s are not isolated incidences that should be dealt with individually, as they are best addressed from a systematic level. True change comes from the top down.
